Donation-based Improv workshop led by Bobby Phillips from Yeah Media!
"We start with a meditative cooldown and warm-up, connecting first with our inner space, then with our bodies, then with the room, and finally with others. Using the methods of Viola Spolin, Keith Johnstone, and David Webster, we build a connection on stage through short scenes. We'll practice improv games and invent new ones. There is no need to tell a joke. Playing make-believe in earnest is inherently funny. It can become a flow state, a healing practice, and create fine art from thin air.
Please come to workshops prepared to make eye contact with others. We will encourage an atmosphere of respect, emotional availability, and reception to constructive criticism. Each member will coach each other to be brave and authentic.
